The 3 Key Factors

Focus on these three things first

You do not need to compare every specification. Capacity, charging power and the devices you use will narrow down most of your options.

Factor 01

Capacity

Capacity mainly affects how much extra battery you can carry.

10,000mAh Great starting point for everyday phone charging.
20,000mAh Better for longer days, travel or several devices.
25,000mAh+ Useful for heavier use and many laptop setups.
Simple rule: more capacity usually means more usable battery, but also more size and weight.

Factor 02

Charging Power

Wattage affects charging speed and what devices the power bank can support.

20–30W A practical range for phones and smaller devices.
45W More headroom for tablets and faster everyday charging.
65W+ Where compatible USB-C laptop charging becomes more relevant.
Important: higher wattage does not automatically make every device charge faster. Your device only draws the power it supports.

Factor 03

Your Devices

Different devices need different levels of power and capacity.

Phone Usually prioritise portability and suitable fast charging.
Tablet Often benefits from more capacity and charging power.
Laptop Check USB-C PD compatibility and required wattage carefully.
Buying for several devices? Also check the number of ports and the total output when multiple ports are used.
